xxxFour Legged Farms was established to raise Black and White Homozygous Paint Horses and Llamas. We started with one registered paint horse, Bella, and three Llamas. Our farm is situated on 10 scenic acres of land in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The Horses enjoy lush green pastures for daily turn outs and they cohabitate side by side with the Llamas. The First thing we did was build a 4 stall barn for our four legged friends. It was all the space we would need. The Llamas would share one stall and our only horse the other. Within a short time Bella needed a friend, (who wants to be alone?). We then purchased Bandit, a gelding; and Beauty another mare, and in the next few months, we had Bella bred and we were off to the races. xxxWe fell in love with our paints and wanted to breed and raise horses that not only could be Halter shown but also perform if wanted, or just be a good family horse that everyone would want to own. Imprinting became very important with us, we want horses that have manners, listen and have great behavior traits. xxxWe established our breeding program in 2001 to breed foals that are Homozygous Black and Tobiano, with great disposition and conformation. The stallions we selected are by far the best available today with pedigrees back to TD My Investment, Sonny Amigos Bar, Strait from Texas, Riskey Business, Boston Baked Dean, DocO'Lena, Delta Flyer, and Cash Buttons. Today we have a state of the art Breeding Facility and Labratory for analysis and Eight Stalls for Mares and Stallions. xxxWe are very pleased to announce our acquisition of JC Montanasamigo APHA#639,918 a clinically tested Stallion Homozygous both for Tobiano and Black genes. Montana is the center piece of our breeding program of the future. No offspring by this Stallion will inherit the red gene, and all will have color. Mares We specialize in Black and White mares, with a proven track record for all around pleasure and sweet disposition. They are an important part of the family at Four Legged Farms. We have a number of mares in foal for 2005, sired by JC MontanasAmigo and Strait Gunsmokensuger. Our Mares have been Micro chipped and registered with the American Kennel Club, Companion Animal Recovery group. Foals Presently we have no foals available, but please check back often as the 2005 babies are coming. Geldings Peek A Boo Bandit is our ranch pleasure horse. He is tri colored Bay Tobiano, gentle and anyone can ride this guy. He is a registered Pinto, #114088 with the Pinto Horse Association of America, Inc. JC Montanasamigo is a homozygous Black and Homozygous Tobiano APHA paint stallion, Citas Classic Spider, a Homozygous Black APHA paint stallion, and Tomax AL Surat, a registered Arabian Stallion. xxxWhen we purchased our first Paint Horse Bella, we registered with the APHA. The American Paint Horse Association was formed in 1962 with approximately 3,800 horses in the registry. Today, more than 750,000 Paints are registed with the Association, making Paint Horses the fifth largest horse breed in the world. The growth rate of the breed over the last 10 years is over %70. Now more than 104,000 members strong, the APHA strives to preserve and promote the history, breeding, training, racing, showing, sales and enjoyment of American Paints.
